Derifil
Generic name: chlorophyllin
What is Derifil?
Derifil is made from chlorophyll, a green pigment found in plants.
Derifil has been used in alternative medicine to help reduce the smell of urine or feces (bowel movements).
Derifil is intended to enhance the quality of life for individuals who have fecal incontinence due to spinal cord injury, bowel cancer, psychotic disorder, terminal illness, or other conditions. This medicine is also used by people who have had a colostomy or ileostomy.
Not all uses for Derifil have been approved by the FDA. This medicine should not be used instead of any medication prescribed by your doctor.
Derifil is often sold as an herbal supplement. Many herbal products do not have regulated manufacturing standards, and some supplements on the market have been found to be contaminated with toxic metals or other drugs. Herbal/health supplements should be bought from a trusted source to reduce the risk of contamination.
Derifil may also be used for purposes not included in this product guide.
