GenTeal Tears Night-Time

There are many brands and forms of ocular lubricant available, and not all are included in this leaflet.

GenTeal Tears Night-Time is used by adults to relieve burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eyes.

GenTeal Tears Night-Time may also be used for reasons not mentioned in this medication guide.

Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.

Wash your hands before using GenTeal Tears Night-Time.

Do not use GenTeal Tears Night-Time and call your pharmacist if the medicine looks cloudy or has changed color.

Do not touch the tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube or place it directly on your eye. A contaminated tip can infect your eye, which could lead to serious vision problems.

Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse while using GenTeal Tears Night-Time.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

You should not use GenTeal Tears Night-Time to treat or prevent an eye infection.

You should not use GenTeal Tears Night-Time if you are allergic to it. This medicine will not treat or prevent an eye infection.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to use GenTeal Tears Night-Time if you have any type of infection in your eye.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using GenTeal Tears Night-Time and call your doctor if you have:

• severe burning, stinging, or eye irritation after using the medicine;
• eye pain; or
• vision changes.

Common side effects of GenTeal Tears Night-Time may include:

• mild eye burning or irritation;
• itching or redness of your eyes;
• watery eyes;
• blurred vision; or
• sensitivity to light.

This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.

GenTeal Tears Night-Time is used as needed. If you are following a dosing schedule and miss a dose, skip it. Do not use two doses at the same time.

An overdose of ocular lubricant is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical help or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222 if someone has accidentally swallowed the medication.

GenTeal Tears Night-Time may cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or doing anything dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you.

Do not use other eye medications unless your doctor instructs you to.

Medicine used in the eyes is not likely to be affected by other drugs you use. However, many drugs can interact. Tell your doctor about all your current medicines, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
