What is Panatuss PED?

Chlophedianol is a cough suppressant. It works on the brain signals that make you cough.

Dexchlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps lessen the effects of histamine, a natural chemical in the body. Histamine can cause symptoms like sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and a runny nose.

Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that reduces blood vessel size in the nasal passages. Enlarged blood vessels can lead to nasal congestion (a stuffy nose).

Panatuss PED is a combination medicine used to relieve a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, cough, and sinus congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu.

Panatuss PED will not treat a cough caused by smoking, asthma, bronchitis, or emphysema.

Panatuss PED may also be used for other reasons not mentioned in this medication guide.
