What is pamabrom?

Pamabrom is a diuretic (water pill). It helps you urinate more.

Pamabrom is used to relieve bloating, swelling, feelings of fullness, and other signs of water weight gain related to menstrual symptoms.

Pamabrom may also be used for other reasons not mentioned in this medication guide.

How should I take pamabrom?

Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.

For best results, start taking pamabrom 5 or 6 days before you expect your menstrual period to start. Continue using the medicine until you feel relief from symptoms, or until your period ends.

Do not take more than 4 doses of pamabrom in a 24-hour period.

Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water each day while taking pamabrom.

Pamabrom will make you urinate more than usual. This means the medicine is working.

Stop taking pamabrom and call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 10 days of treatment.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Do not remove a pill from the blister pack until you are ready to take the medicine.
